I was hoping to be very active with my photography by this time this year. I had several shoots set up from late March into early May, but three of them cancelled due to personal conflicts, one never gave me the details, and the last one I had to cancel because work got in the way. Oh, and random photography day got cancelled due to lack of interest. In that time, I've only shot scenery one day in St. Louis and for about 20 minutes at my workplace. For awhile, my desire had been drained from me. I have not been even attempting to set up any shoots in the last month just because I keep thinking "Why schedule another cancellation?"
The desire is returning, but I'm not sure where to start back up. I may give ModelMayhem.com one more shot, but only one model from there has not cancelled or no-showed me. I need to get example portraits to get my commercial efforts to take off.
Most of all, I want a studio space to work with.
I feel like the lack of studio space has been holding me back. I'm not talking about a professional space
just a bare space [like an empty bedroom or basement] dedicated solely to my photography. Unfortunately, I am not financially in a place where I can move from a single bedroom apartment to anyplace with the space I would require
and I will most likely be locked into another year long lease shortly because of it. Frustrating.
Anyways, I've got the itch to get going on my photography again
just not sure where to go from this dead spot I've found myself in.
